Scholarship Criteria
Marathon’s Michigan Refining Division in Detroit is offering scholarships for students living in the city of Detroit and pursuing a Process Technology Certificate from Wayne County Community College District or Henry Ford Community College.

- Introduction to Process Technology
- Industrial Applications of Basic Math Principles
- Applied Science (Chemistry & Physics)
- Process Instrumentation
| General selection criteria are as follows: | ||
| 1. | Academic Qualification: | Must present a High School Diploma or GED |
| 2. | Resident Status: | Must be a city of Detroit resident |
| 3. | Foundational Skills: | Completion of assessment |
| 4. | References: | Three letters describing your qualifications |
| 5. | Grade Requirement: | Must maintain a “B” average |
Application Requirements:
- Confirmation of Detroit residency
- Valid High School diploma or GED
- Documentation of Foundational Learning Skills Assessment
- A letter indicating your interest in, and willingness to commit to, the academic requirements of the PTEC Program
- Three written letters of reference
