
Dec. 12, 2007 – The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality has scheduled a public hearing for Jan. 10 for Marathon Petroleum Company’s air quality permit application to expand its Detroit refinery. The public information meeting will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and the public hearing will be at 6:00 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Kemeny Center, 2260 South Fort Street, Detroit. The public hearing will be accompanied by an extended public comment period, which opened Dec. 11, 2007 and ends Feb. 11, 2008.
