Marathon Pipe Line LLC Files Application with Michigan Public Service Commission

On March 21, 2007 Marathon Pipe Line LLC (MPL) filed an application with the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) seeking a permit to build and operate a new 29-mile section of pipeline in Monroe and Wayne counties.

Although MPL is still considering the viability of the proposed Detroit Heavy Oil Upgrade Project, filing an application with the MPSC is a necessary step in the decision-making process.
